Real Wisconsin Limburger from Country Castle, made the same way since 1885 and wrapped in foil like it should be. Soft, earthy and famously aromatic, this is the cheese for a rye bread, raw onion and mustard sandwich.
Limburger changes as it ages, so the date on the package tells you what you are getting. Four to six months before the date it is firm and mild with a crumbly center. Two and a half to four months before, it is soft at the edges with a sweet, earthy flavor, which is where most people like it. Inside two and a half months it is spreadable, strong and pungent for the true Limburger lover. 8 oz block. Made from pasteurized whole milk. Contains milk.
